Questions

Clear answers for ambitious land.

For complex sites and projects asking for more than a standard landscape response.

01

What is Leisure Architecture?

Leisure Architecture is the practice of designing places around states of being, not just physical structures. At Micro Resorts, that means designing outdoor environments around how people want to gather, restore, celebrate, and live.

02

What kinds of projects are a fit?

Micro Resorts is best suited for residential estates, private outdoor environments, complex-site transformations, hospitality or commercial environments, and regenerative land projects where vision, technical coordination, and long-term use all need to be held together.

03

Is there a minimum project size?

We take on very few projects by choice. The right fit is a space asking for more than a conventional landscape response: more complexity, more ambition, more long-term use, or a more meaningful experience than standard landscape work. Begin a conversation. We will know quickly if it belongs here.

04

Do you handle permits and engineering?

Yes. If your project requires permits, engineering, or review coordination, Micro Resorts helps guide that process. We do not treat permitting as something to figure out after the design is finished. The land, structure, water, access, and buildability questions are considered early, so the project has a clearer path when it reaches review.

05

Do you work in Guatemala and Latin America?

Yes. Micro Resorts GT brings the same Leisure Architecture mindset and technical rigor to Guatemala and Latin America, where Elder’s own story began. The work is rooted in private estates, hospitality destinations, and regenerative land, with each project shaped in respect for the people, communities, and landscapes that give the place its meaning.
