The folks at Micro Resorts delivered an amazing project that brought a genuine smile to my wife and I’s faces. Every time we look outside at our backyard, we are amazed at the project vision that Elder designed and couldn’t be happier.

Prior to reaching out to Micro Resorts, we had already interviewed 4 other candidates for the job and already had a front-runner with an impressive track record and portfolio on Instagram. I kept this appointment to follow through with my original commitment, but I had no expectations of even considering this company’s thoughts. I had a specific landscaping vision for the backyard, which I was quick to share with all the previous candidates. It was modern yet simple, and every feature had its place and function. Each of those folks listened to my landscape vision and said they could do this and do it the way I was calling out.

With Elder, he listened to my vision, but he challenged certain aspects of the vision, for which I was taken back with a bit of curiosity. He then pivoted to ask what my pain points were for which I explained there was constant pooling of water and the backyard was poorly graded, along with an overworked sump pump I had to constantly monitor even during the smallest of storm systems passing through.

After Elder challenged me on another one of my landscaping visions, I decided to take a leap of faith and challenged him to ‘wow’ us with the vision he thought he could create in our small backyard, along with our budget constraints. I mean, what did we have to lose?

He came back a few days later with plans drawn up and a quote. Long story short, he addressed our long-standing backyard issues and presented a beautiful design we didn’t think was possible in our small backyard. We also received white-glove service with Elder often being present to make sure the project moved along his pre-planned milestones. The same folks who started the project were also present at the end, thus making it a seamless experience.

Sure, we paid more than what we budgeted, but one thing is for certain. There hasn’t been one person who’s visited the backyard who hasn’t been wowed by the craftsmanship or asked how much a project like this costs.

If you’re willing to express your landscaping vision but leave your ego at the door and leave it in the hands of an expert, you will not be disappointed with what Elder and his team can deliver.
